Little Harbour on the western end of Peter Island offers overnigh anchorages for a handful of boats. The eastern end of the Harbour has the best anchoring. There are some private moorings that should not be used.
There is excellent snorkeling along the eastern part of the bay along the reef.
Little Lameshur Bay is located on the southern part of St John, USVI. The bay is very isolated and has terrible road, but the beach and bay is worth the trip. A high clearance vehicle is required and 4WD is often needed on the road to the beach. There are no vendors here so bring your own food, beverages, snorkeling gear. Maho Bay at the northern end of St John, USVI is a nice bay to snorkel and swim. The bay is the place to go to swim with sea turtles. The seagrass beds in the middle stretches of this shallow bay provide habitat for the green sea turtles that are seen more frequently in the early morning or late afternoon.
