This is my home island. Although I left the island 29 years ago for college and then got married, I still say... no place like home. Every time I go visit, I feel like a tourist all over again. Within 2-3 days you can experience all the must-see, must-do delights on our beautiful island.

Banditry and general lawlessness are major problems outside Bangui. Travel outside Bangui is extremely dangerous and not advise for any reason. This includes all land routes from Cameroon.
WARNING: Chad is currently experiencing political turmoil and the UK and US governments advise against all but essential travel to Chad. Anywhere outside the capital, N'Djamena, is highly dangerous, especially in the north—where a special travel permit is necessary.
