The entire experience was wonderful, walking through different climates, learning to speak the native tongue, to eating different foods.
Unfortunately I didn’t make the summit, as I contracted Covid on the fourth day of my climb. I’ll need to go back some day.
Here are my tips from doing the Snow Valley event in SoCal:
On the Ice Pool (Arctic Enema), wait for the person in front of you to be starting to get out on the other side before starting. Otherwise you get stuck in the water longer.
On the Electric Eel crawl, work hard to NOT have the wires tough your head – ouch. Also do not wear a costume with wires on your back (bumble bees) – they were getting worked.
On the rings, one set had one less ring (for people with long arms I guess). Check out the count and pick accordingly before starting.
I’m guessing the rings and monkey bars would work better without wet gloves, but not sure – worth testing out.
On the Electroshock Therapy, run with your hands together out front of your head and go fast. This way your arms get hit most instead of your head or other painful parts of the body.
