Great place to get lost. With lots of hiking trails, you get to discover different views and sights at each corner. The roads are very well kept for all vehicles, but I usually go with my AWD just in case I want to do a bit of off-road!
Inns are hard to find on the trails. Omine Okugake barely goes through any towns as well. Before you choose a provider to help get around and where to stay, make sure you check out the accommodations. Also check out what type of transportion they plan to use for the whole journey.
Several of the pilgrimage trail are difficult and some hard to follow. You should go on the trails with an experienced guide. The Kohechi trail is particuly difficult. The Omine Okugake is another difficult trail due to its high ridges.
