We got to take a hike through an underground cave flooded with crystal-clear water. Stalactites and stalacmites numbering in the hundreds of thousands surrounded us from above and below. When lights were on the water glowed turquoise blue and when we turned our head lamps on it was an eerie, profound, complete darkness. The ancient Maya called this their underworld and I see why. There are many layers of caves filled with water.
The skiing is not much here - mostly begineer hills around the town. But take the gondolla to the top and it's not half bad. The town is a great mountain town.
