Love this campground. Even if the weather is less than ideal, the shelter is ideal to hang out or dry off. And the people one meets are a ton of fun.

Berg Lake can be reached by following a marked hiking trail for 19 kilometres (12 mi) from the parking lot. To reach the parking lot, follow the #5 highway north from Valemount to the #16 highway and head east 50 kilometres (31 mi). Or, follow the Yellowhead Highway (#16) west from Jasper townsite for 84 kilometres (52 mi) to the Mount Robson Viewpoint centre. On the north side of the highway, follow a two-lane paved road for 2 kilometres (1.2 mi), ending at the parking lot.

Beautiful hike up to Berg campground. Did all the day trips we could including Snowbird Pass, the toe of Robson Glacier and Hargreaves Lake. Mummy Basin and Toboggan Falls we’re closed due to an active rock slide. I highly recommend this trip but take time at the top to enjoy the day trips. I suggest 5 nights minimum.
