this site is situated in the center of old Delhi. made this place become so accessible. just like some others forts in India, the red stone become the main character if this site. a lot of local people make the park inside the fort as a picnic place. visit this place in the afternoon is a good choice
You need to book a tour a day before because they need your passport number since it's a Government building. The thing to do with that is there's a restaurant at the top of it called Kafer (I think I spelled that right) book a reservation there for tea (I had wine) and you skip all the lines. You get a drink and a cake or something and then do the walking tour which is fascinating. It's kind of like getting the view from the top of the Empire State building, but way better. Food overall was delicious. Source: Joni Blecher
Building isn't anything special outside, is surrounded by pretty garden though with a fountain in front. There are plenty of meeting rooms inside with fancy ornaments, garden in central part, helicopter on the roof and souvenir shop. Entrance is around $1 and it's worth to see the interior.
