this site is situated in the center of old Delhi. made this place become so accessible. just like some others forts in India, the red stone become the main character if this site. a lot of local people make the park inside the fort as a picnic place. visit this place in the afternoon is a good choice
You need to book a tour a day before because they need your passport number since it's a Government building. The thing to do with that is there's a restaurant at the top of it called Kafer (I think I spelled that right) book a reservation there for tea (I had wine) and you skip all the lines. You get a drink and a cake or something and then do the walking tour which is fascinating. It's kind of like getting the view from the top of the Empire State building, but way better. You can go there on your own or book a tour (both in Sapa and Hanoi). The fields look amazing all year round, during harvest and even winter when they are covered in snow.
