Somewhat small, not a top notch museum, but perfect for what you're paying ($2-3pp). More a big collection than a museum, in my opinion. Could take you anywhere from 15 min to an hour or more if you're reading about and looking at everything - it's small but jam packed. Good collection for either someone seriously interested in firehouse things (gear, alarms, trucks, hose nozzles, badges, etc.) or a young child who can listen. My 2.5 year old loved the fire truck he could sit in (and pretend to drive) and somewhat enjoyed the room geared toward young kids - coloring, a small maze, dress up, etc. The only tough part was the many other antique fire trucks he couldn't climb on - for obvious reasons, but that was tough for him to understand!
Of more than 2,500 National Historical Landmarks, only two can (willfully) move: San Francisco's cable cars and New Orleans’s St. Charles streetcar line. Source: The New Orleans
