Nice little stop. Getting a ticket also grants you access to the beaches and lighthouse. The village is a little worn down but still worth seeing in my opinion. Plus when I went, there were reindeer grazing on the mountain right next to the village, it was awesome.
Great place to stop and see a Viking village as it must have been in history. Even though it was built as a movie set, it really doesn’t feel that way. Just a short (and very windy) walk from parking, explore all the buildings on your own time. We were only two of probably 6 people there at the time (September 2018). The backdrop of the mountain peaks beautifully surround this little village in the valley. Before you walk down, though, get the Viking Stew from the cafe… trust me.
