Ko Chang is one of those Thai paradise islands but less crowded. You can get here the best food, kind service, meet many locals. And the beaches...soft sand, calm water and drink in coconut from nearby bar. Heaven!
We rented a motorbike to go there from Phnom Penh and rode around the island on our own. It's a great getaway from the capital, quiet and not that crowded. You can see silk being made and sewn.
Many people living in Koh Klang work in Krabi. This is an island with no tourists, visitors just come by day by boat. There are many tuk tuks offering a ride around the island, they will show you everything and most of them speak good english. Very nice people live here and it's considered to be authentic Thailand.
It was a bliss to visit this place! No cars, honking, rush. The islands are extremely beautiful and natural, air is nice and fresh. It would be great to live in such a place.
This island is more for chill rather than a party. Not too big but beautiful, natural, hard to get wifi or even electricity so you can fully disconnect and enjoy.
Beautiful view, but in high season there are so many boats around the famous rock that it's impossible to take a nice picture. In low season is much better, not many tourists and you can actually enjoy the island.
Ko Lanta, being less developed than other thai islands, is exactly what I wanted. Not flooded with tourists, cute bamboo huts to stay at, normal food prices and nice nature. Also, some beaches are empty when you visit!
