Beautiful view, but in high season there are so many boats around the famous rock that it's impossible to take a nice picture. In low season is much better, not many tourists and you can actually enjoy the island.
Lanta is still a relaxed island, there is a town where all of the tourists stay and the further you go the more quiet it gets. The prices vary from very simple bungalows with fans to good rooms with a/c. The food in the restaurants is more expensive than on the land but you can find fair prices as well as high quality service. Beautiful beach, very nice old town.
Ko Lanta, being less developed than other thai islands, is exactly what I wanted. Not flooded with tourists, cute bamboo huts to stay at, normal food prices and nice nature. Also, some beaches are empty when you visit!
Awesome stop. One of my favorite stops in Iceland. Was able to climb up down & around the falls. Such great photo options. Started the day with this stop and had a blast.
