Phi Phi have the most beautiful shade of water around and the surroundings are just stunning - but underneath there's a lot of trash. Locals don't care about collecting rubbish and saving the environment too much unfortunately. There are many local restaurants and places to visit which is nice.
Phi Phi are considered to be somehow luxurious. There are expensive hotels and restaurants but you can find these places reasonably priced as well. The islands are beautiful, many places to see, loads of beaches and many many tourists.
The road up is very bad and bumpy so I'd recommend renting a car or a good motorbike (not a scooter!). There is a waterfall and underwater carvings, interesting to see such s thing. Make sure to bring water and food with you.
The place could be awesome - if people took care of it. Entrance fee is too high ($20) given all the trash everywhere and even the water in the waterfall is dirty...I hope it gets better in the future!
I went there in November and part of the garden was inaccessible due to the conditions (it rained often). Nevertheless, I saw a part of it and it was a very nice stroll in the nature. There are interesting butterflies which I've never seen before. Make sure to bring a mosquito spray!
My favorite patk in Vietnam! There are many caves to explore and the landscape makes it unique. There are quite good roads so riding a motorbike is easy and pleasurable among the mountains. You have to visit this place!!
