It's an abandoned building that became a viewpoint and popular meeting spot. People hang out here admiring the panoramic view and having snacks. The building itself is raw and unfinished with plenty of murals and art.

Nice, but mostly a gift shop. Very far from any campground so any lectures or talks require traveling quite a distance. From Rio Grande campground it’s probably a half hour. This is largely a store, not an interpretive center.

Panwa Viewpoint looks like a nice spot although it got a bit cloudy and wet once we reached the top so unfortunately we couldn't see whole panorama. The way is nice though and what we were able to see was still nice.
