Another temple for me, but I was able to have a chat with one of the monks and meditate with him. It was a very nice experience in authentic place.

Nice change from covered in gold Buddhas and temples. This one is plain and high, located by the river. Beautiful at sunset.

Pretty temple, free entrance, women have to cover shoulders and knees. When I was there it wasn't too busy, the atmosphere was very pleasant to walk around.

There are three levels with temples and the statue on the top. Beautiful views and quiet atmosphere, unless you're unlucky enough to experience the flood of coaches with tourists...

Outside - nothing spectacular but inside of the temple is really nice. The walls are colorful and Buddha statue is golden. It's totally different from other temples I've seen.

Not a must-see. All temples are destroyed, only the reclining Buddha is still kinda okay. Not many people around though as this isn't a main temple.

Nice buildings around, close to town. There was a monk stalking us asking for donations every few minutes which kinda destroyed the visit for us.. Very first time such thing happened though.

This one is really reachly decorated, gold everywhere! Place is crowded but worth to see Buddha. Outside, there are many stalls with cheap souvenirs and food.

I expected a bit more, it's a temple on a hill but doesn't look any special. Very touristy and it's the only temple I had to pay (1usd) to visit.

Ruins of quite huge temple, it's the main one in the complex and is the most crowded. It's famous for Buddha head grown into the tree roots, which everyone heard about. Remarkable!

Inside of this temple there's a huge gilded Buddha statue which is actually one of the largest in the country. Place is crowded, as many other temples of Ayutthaya.

I think it's the most beautiful temple round Chiang Mai. Nicely located in National Park and on the hill. There are many paintings and carvings. If you want to know some details about this place hire a guide who will tell you the story of Buddha and what the paintings represent.
