This is a great place. The dogs and cats live in clean environemnt, they're sterilised, well fed and bathed. We joined the tour, the volunteer said a few words about the story of each dog. We took one for a walk - they gave us a bag with a poo bag and water for our little friend, they also gave us instructions to follow the colorful ribbons as it's a safe route. You can adopt a dog or cat, fund their treatment and food or you can become a flight volunteer which means meeting the crew at the airport, they check in the pet for you, then you collect it with your luggage and pass it to their new family who's waiting for you at your destination! Great job done!
A spiritual and peaceful place. We were greeted with tea and cookies, as we listened to the fasinating history of the shrines and the creation of the Lawai International Center. After the brief presentation, we were able to visit the Hall of Compassion and walk the winding path among the 88 Buddhist shrines. A truly unique experience.
