Antelope Canyon is amazing! It's located on Native American land and you'll need reservation. A guide takes you through the narrow, twisted and other-worldly canyon. Lots of picture opportunities. A must see!
Amazing place. Must see and I would recommend staying in or around the area. Beware of some of the primitive roads as they can be extremely sandy and if you do t have a 4x4 you’ll be waiting for hours to get a tow. Being plenty of water. Don’t go alone and be sure to be prepared for the desert. This is not the place to go hiking or driving around without planning and preparing first.
Most of the tourits coming to Krabi province stay in Ao Nang so some places are overpriced and crowded. There are many beautiful beaches and a range of activities to choose from. The area is beautiful, perfect place for holidays.
Beautiful beach with soft sand and clear water, usually filled with people sunbathing. Great views, music playing from nearby food shacks, nice to chill with a drink at sunset.
A friend of a friend said this about the cave: The upper cave 1.5 miles long and takes about 3 hours to complete. There is a lot of climbing over rocks and debris involved. The caves stay at a year round temp of about 42-50 degrees. This time of year (March/April) with all the run off and snow melt there will be standing water and some flooding
Driving directions to the cave:
From Interstate 5 -- take Exit 21 (Woodland Exit)
Travel east on Highway 503 and USFS Road 90, approximately 35.7 miles to junction of USFS Roads 83 and 90.
Turn north (left) onto USFS Road 83 and proceed another 2 miles to the junction of USFS Roads 83 and 8303.
Turn west (left) onto USFS Road 8303 and proceed 0.2 miles to Trail of Two Forests.
From Trail of Two Forests - proceed another mile on USFS Road 8303 to parking lot of lower entrance to Ape Cave.
Georgia or West Virginia, New York or Vermont, each state on the trail has great things to see and experience. No matter your age, no matter the time of year you chose, if properly prepared and accompanied the AT is the premier place to strengthen your character and your legs, widen your thoughts and appreciation for the wonders of creation. Enjoy the hike(s), see the sights, taste the waters and see the people who wander the trails and do not feed the wildlife under any circumstances. Take eye photos or real ones and share them with everyone.
