It is long indeed. 7km of sand and plenty of space for you! At one end there are guesthouses and at the other there is a path for a jungle trek from the ferry.
This is the main beach of Ko Lanta. It's a few km long and has dozens of resorts and restaurants alongside but it isn't crowded! You can spot people here and there but you'll have a lot of space for yourself. Water is clear, sometimes gets wavy and the sand is soft.
Easily the most fun fourteener I’ve climbed. We camped in the boulder field overnight and then took the keyhole route to the summit, then rappelled down from the top to the right of the diamond. This was one of the most spectacular mountains I’ve climbed because the views include the majority of Rocky Mountain National Park, distant other ranges, views of the plains, as well as higher risk hiking along the edge of sheer drop offs near the top of the mountain. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone who has already climbed a few fourteeners.
