View Original Description
Bandon, Oregon has long been known as the "Cranberry Capital of Oregon". The Annual Cranberry Festival takes place in the second weekend of September to celebrate the Cranberry harvest. The event draws tourists and participants from all areas of the Oregon coast, Washington and California. Begun in 1946, to honor the cranberry industry, 2016 will mark the 70th year of the event.
Farmers and artisans strut their stuff at Cranberry City and the Festival Market. Live music, from rock ‘n’ roll to classic country, will keep you hummin’ all weekend.
Events are staged in Old Town, the Port of Bandon waterfront, Sprague Community Theater and city park, and Bandon High School.
