The Banff Summer Arts Festival is the longest running arts festival in Canada. Every summer since 1933 The Banff Centre has presented a festival of the arts – including dance, opera, theatre; folk, world, and classical music; Indigenous Arts; as well as visual arts exhibitions; literary readings; films; and speakers.
An audience-friendly event, the Banff Summer Arts Festival provides unparalleled access through dozens of free events. And in most cases, the performances you see on stage are the outcome of The Banff Centre’s arts training programs. Over the past decade, more than a quarter of a million people have experienced exceptional events set within an iconic mountain landscape (UNESCO World Heritage Site) at the Banff Summer Arts Festival.
