Attend Castlepoint Beach Races, New Zealand

Castlepoint Beach Races is a horse race accross wet sand st Castlepoint Beach in New Zealand. The beach races started back to 1872 when local farmhands would race each other for bottles of rum and stray coins. Races are held on a Saturday in the summer. Actual date depends on beach conditions and tides - the last race of the day is often through the water.
