Attend Chicago German Day Parade (Steuben Parade), Chicago, Illinois

TheChicago German-American Steuben Parade,also known as the German Day Parade, isan annual event held on the third Saturday of September in Chicago's Lincoln Square neighborhood. The annual Steuben Parade is the German American Event of the year, which steps off at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The parade begins at 4000 N. Lincoln Ave. traveling to Wilson Avenue and north on Western Ave. The parade’s reviewing stand is located at Leland and Western avenues. Hundreds of participants march, dance, play music or ride the many beautiful floats and make their way on Lincoln Ave, through the Lincoln Square neighborhood, the heart of Chicago’s German-American Community and end in the Festival area to join the festivities. The Chicago parade was featured in the 1986 filmFerris Bueller's Day Off.
