Hell's Gate Enduro Race, Castelvecchio Pascoli, Yuscany, Italy
View Original Description
Castelvecchio Pascoli, situated in heart of the beautiful Tuscany, Italy plays host to an annual contest that tests the mettle, strength and heart of the world’s best dirt bike riders in the ultimate extreme Enduro challenge, The Hell’s Gate Enduro Race. The contest is so grueling that of the 103 participants that entered in 2010 only 30 survived the qualifying rounds with but 2 bikes still running at the conclusion of the race. Spectators at this extreme off-road motor bike competition play an active role assisting bikers that have crashed with remounting their cycles and the exciting conclusion of the final race includes the spectators rushing in to greet the survivors at the finish line. “Finished” they are after a full day of tortuous conditions that includes mud, ruts, seemingly unmanageable vertical ascents, snow, rocks and jumps.
You can make a full day out of your attendance at this thrilling event starting with the morning qualifying heats right through an entertaining Awards Dinner and Gala in the evening. The Italian village of Castelvecchio Pascoli is part of the municipality of Barga in the Lucca Province of Tuscany. There are many choices for accommodations in the village and close by from luxury hotels to guesthouses. Nearby, Lucca is a walled Italian town with superb dining, first-class shopping and interesting architecture and artwork.
Your dream trip to Tuscany can be made even more memorable by including attendance at the Hell’s Gate Enduro Race on your list where you can pursue your passion for dirt bikes and their elite riders.
