Attend Inuvik's Sunrise Festival, Canada

Every January people of Inuvik, Canada celebrate the return of the light after nearly 30 days w/o sun at the Annual Inuvik Sunrise Festival. The festival happens on the second weekend of the new year, when the sun finally breaks the horizon after about thirty days of darkness. The Festival is an all-day community event highlighted by dog-sled races, a long-program fireworks show and community bonfire.
