Kiruna Snow Festival happens when the January sun returns to Kiruna after a long, dark and often cold winter.In the middle of Kiruna's city center, culture and winter come to life through this incredibly cozy snow party.
During the Snow Festival, you as a visitor have the opportunity to participate in a broad program with a strong focus on culture and family entertainment. During the snow festival, everything is arranged from the World Championships in Snow Lung Race, dog sledding, reindeer racing, craft fair, figure skating, music performances, dance and a large snow playground for the youngest visitors.
The festival has traditionally been organized since the start in 1986 in the last week of January, with the festival final on Saturday.
