Morne-à-l'Eau is a town on Basse-Terre Island, Guadeloupe. In March or April each year since 1993, the town organises a crab festival which features crab races and many stalls selling crab-based dishes. The crab feast remains the gourmet palace eat crab earth all the sauces, the games, donkey races, that of the crab-eating contest and cane sugar.
In 2008 the event's attracted over 20,000 visitors and included a Brazilian music plus a cycle-race passing through the already congested town.
Morne à l'eau is also known for its amazing cemetery composed of burial places made of black and white tiles.
