Attend Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival, Harlingen, Texas
The Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival is one of the largest and most informative birding festivals in the country.
The festival provides attendees the chance to see Crested Caracara, Green Kingfisher, Great Kiskadee, Green Jay, Altamira Oriole, and Chachalaca.
The festival program features lectures by world-famous birders who will share stories and experiences, plus seminars, keynote lectures, workshops, children's programs, and a large nature fair.
Some of the field trips could include a canoe trip down the Rio Grande, a cruise on the Arroyo Colorado, trips to Brownsville, South Padre Island, Weslaco, Santa Anna National Wildlife Refuge, San Ygnacio and Zapata.
