Attend Steamboat Springs Hot Air Balloon Rodeo & Art in the Park, Colorado
The Hot Air Balloon Rodeo and Art in the Park are a staple of Steamboat Springs, Colorado in the summertime.
Make sure to arrive at the launch grounds early to see the balloons inflate then watch the balloons dot the Yampa Valley sky. Launch grounds are at Bald Eagle Lake (35565 South Highway 40).
Then head over to Art in the Park (West Lincoln Park) and visit with one hundred-forty artist vendors and listen live entertainment.
On Saturday, the fun doesn't stop when the sun goes down. Head back to the mountain area and take in the colors as the balloon glow lights up on Mt. Werner. Spectators will have the opportunity to walk among the tethered balloons or take photos of this beautiful display from the numerous restaurant patios and hotel and condo balconies at the base of the mountain.
