Attend Australian Open
It can be downright toasty in Melbourne, Australia, the last 2 weeks in January, summertime in the Southern Hemisphere. But Melbourne is where the first leg of the Tennis World’s Grand Slam is contested. Played on hard surface courts at Melbourne Park, this annual competition kicks off the yearly schedules for the ATP and WTA and seeks to identify the top players in the world. Stamina becomes just as important as skill if a top player is to prevail. In addition to the Open Division, which allows anyone that thinks they can, compete through a Qualifying Tournament, there are competitions for Juniors and Tennis Legends as well. Exciting action is always the order of the day during this well attended tennis tournament.
