Attend Belmont Stakes, Bellerose Terrace, New York

This 3rd and final leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown is run 5 weeks after The Kentucky Derby and 3 weeks after the Preakness. This annual event which has been contested over 140 times is held every June at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York. A week of festivities preceeds the race beginning with the Elmont Belmont Stakes parade the Saturday before race day and includes numerous activities in and around the race track. Not to be outdone by the Kentucky Derby’s Mint Julep or the Preakness’ Black Eyed Susan, the Belmont boasts its own libation lovingly referred to as the Belmont Jewel. If you have dreamed of attending one or all of the most prestigious horse races in the United States then a trip to Elmont to participate in the Belmont Stakes activities is a must-do. Imagine the excitement and anticipation if one of the horses entering the starting gate already has those first 2 legs of the Triple Crown in its grasp. To be able to say you were there when horse racing’s most coveted accomplishment happens in your presence would fulfill any horse racing fan’s dream.
