Attend Grand National, England

Referred to as “The World's Greatest Steeplechase” this annual event in Liverpool, England serves as a unique test for rider and horse alike. Two trips around the course measuring 7,242 metres, 16 fences (most jumped twice) and the treacherous Bechers Brook must be navigated successfully to afford an opportunity of winning this yearly event that is steeped in tradition. The contest has been held continuously, save for some war years, since 1839 (some argue even before) at Aintree Racecourse in April. The festivities run for 3 consecutive days and include Liverpool Day, a celebration of the music and history of Liverpool followed by Ladies Day featuring Fashion shows and a Style Contest leading up to Grand National Day when the crowd of 70,000 plus gathers to watch this world famous contest of skill and determination. Worthy of inclusion on your list of dreams is a trip to Liverpool, England to watch The Grand National and participate in this time honored celebration of culture and horsemanship.
