Be a Mentor to Someone

No doubt you have life skills or a talent that can be an invaluable resource to a child, co-worker or neighbor that finds themselves in challenging or vulnerable circumstances. Your pledge to act as a mentor might just be a good fit with an otherwise talented person that will greatly benefit from one-on-one attention. You could really make a difference in the life of that person while simultaneously fulfilling a yearning you have to be positive influence on the life of another. Consider a mentoring association with someone that needs specialized help in your community or workplace. Not all mentoring relationships require in-person meetings. Many mentoring associations can be effectively executed using email and social networking tools. A number of organizations exist that will match you with a worthy candidate to absorb that which you have to offer. Your life, the life of your student and the world will be better for it because of your commitment.
