Blea is one of the most spectacular of the many Lakeland tarns, with magnificent views. Blea Tarn is classic small mountain lake in Little Langdale a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The sediment in this small mountain lake has not been disturbed since the last Ice Age, providing a valuable research site and a haven for flora and fauna, such as Alpine flowers, brown trout, perch and pike. a great place for walking whilst still experiencing all the panoramas of the Langdales.
