Navigable waters cover one third of Everglades National Park, creating excellent fishing and boating opportunities, but boating in the park is challenging. Boaters should be properly prepared in order to be safe, abide by the law, and protect park resources.
The following campsites (Chickee) are along the Everglades Motorized Watercraft Trail going north to south:
Lopez River: Capacity 12, Ground campsite
Crooked Creek: Capacity 12, Double chickee campsite
Darwin's Place: Capacity 8, Ground campsite
Plate Creek Chickee: Capacity 16, Chickee campsite
Lostman's Five Bay: Capacity 10, Ground campsite
Rodgers River: Capacity 12, Double chickee campsite
Broad River: Capacity 10, Ground campsite
Harney River Chickee: Capacity 12, Double chickee campsite
Shark River Chickee: Capacity 6, Single chickee campsite
Oyster Bay Chickee: Capacity 12, Double chickee campsite
Joe River Chickee: Capacity 12, Double chickee campsite
