Bungy Jump Kawarau Bridge, New Zealand

Bungee jump off the bridge where it all started, the world’s first commercial bungee jump site. The Kawarau Bridge Bungee is a 43 meter bungee jump above the Kawarau river. You can do tandem or solo jump and the bob above the water, touch it or be fully immersed. Kawarau River drains Lake Wakatipu, in northwestern Otago, New Zealand. The river flows generally eastwards for about 60 km and passes through the steep Kawarau Gorge until it joins Lake Dunstan near Cromwell. The Shotover River enters it from the north; the Nevis River enters it from the south. Other adventure activities on the river include riverboarding, jet boating, white water rafting, and river surfing. Containing many rapids and strong currents, the river can be dangerous and has claimed many lives. Self-Drive (allow 1.5 hours):Located on State Highway #6 (SH6) in the Gibbston Valley just 25mins North of Queenstown (in the direction of Cromwell). Transportation Included (allow 2.5 hours):Free transportation is available from 'The Station Building', corner of Shotover & Camp Streets in the centre of Queenstown, bookings are essential though. Buses depart daily at 8:40am, 10am, 11:20am, 12:40pm, 2pm and 3:20pm. You must check-in 30mins before departure.
