Camp at Schoodic Woods Campground, Acadia National Park, Maine
Located on the Schoodic Peninsula, this campground is 3 miles (5 km) southeast of Winter Harbor. Tent, hike-in, group, and RV sites (with hookups) are available at the Schoodic Woods Campground. Schoodic Woods Campground is part of Acadia National Park. It is about a 1 hour and 15 minute drive from Bar Harbor, near where the main area of the park is located.
It is open from late May through Columbus Day. Reservations are recommended.
The campground is generally full or near capacity from mid-June through mid-September. The Schoodic Woods Campground ranger station cannot do reservations over the phone. Please do not contact the ranger station about site availability until after noon. The ranger station is generally open from 8 am to 8 pm but hours are subject to change depending on staffing levels.
Showers are available from private vendors that are within a short drive from the campground. You can request this information when you check into your campsite.
