Camp at Sheep Canyon Primitive Campground, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California
Sheep Canyon is a primitive campground with a few sites located in a rugged and secluded part of northwestern Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California. Sheep Canyon feeds into the larger Coyote Canyon.
The canyons has California fan palms, large sycamores, willowy cottonwoods, grottos with waterfalls, and boulder-sized rocks by the millions.
Best season: October — May
The campsite is only accessible by four-wheel-drive vehicle.
