Camp at Spring Valley Cabin, Arizona

Cross country skiing right outside the door is one of many reasons people enjoy staying here. One of the Kaibab National Forest's cabin rental offerings is Spring Valley Cabin, which sits at an elevation of 7,320 feet on the Williams Ranger District and overlooks a gorgeous meadow while still being nestled beneath mature ponderosa pine trees. Spring Valley Cabin was initially the residence for Forest Service rangers working at a nearby guard station. The cabin is the original design from 1917, but with some nice upgrades to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of visitors. A short drive to both Flagstaff and the south rim of the Grand Canyon, Spring Valley. This year-round getaway can host up to 14 people between the cabin and adjacent bunkhouse. The facility is popular with equestrian campers, as horses are allowed on the grounds. A visitor enjoys a winter cross-country skiing opportunity immediately adjacent to Spring Valley Cabin while taking in breathtaking views of Kendrick Mountain as the sun slowly sets.
