Camp at Sportsman's Beach Campground, Walker Lake, Nevada
The Upper Campground of Sportsman's Beach offers first-come, first-served camping. Each site includes a covered picnic table, fire ring, and an approximately 45-foot paved parking pullout.
Once a mecca for fisherman, boaters, and tourists, today Walker Lake is largely empty. Years of declining water levels and increased salinity took a heavy toll on wildlife and the surrounding community. But, efforts are underway (and working) to bring the lake back.
