The Gros Ventre Campground is the closest campground to the town of Jackson and offers 350 individual campsites and 5 large group sites. The park's largest campground is in the southeast part of the park, closest to the town of Jackson. Sagebrush and grasses cover the campground as cottonwoods and blue spruce rise above. The Gros Ventre River is a short stroll away. Some sites offer views of the Grand Teton and Blacktail Butte. Wildlife including bison, moose and mule deer frequent the area.
All campsites include:
A picnic table
A fire pit
Nearby bathrooms include flush toilets, but no shower facilities
Please note: Maximum allowed per site is two tents, two vehicles, and six guests. (2 motorcycles = 1 vehicle, RV = 2 vehicles, trailer = 1 vehicle)
Campsites are reservable on Recreation.gov. Plan ahead and reserve your site up to six months in advance. The maximum stay permitted at Gros Ventre Campground is 14 nights, and the maximum cumulative stay between all Grand Teton National Park campgrounds is 30 nights.
