Longs Peak Campground (9500 ft) in Rocky Mountain National Park has 26 sites. The campground is open year-round to tents but in late September the water gets shut off for the winter.
Last night to stay in 2013 is November 3.
First-come, first-served, no reservations taken.
Tents only.
Camping fee is $20/site/night when water is on, approximately late May-mid September (flush toilets); $14/site/night when water is off (vault toilets).
The trailhead to Longs Peak and other destinations is a short distance away.
All tent pads are 13 ft x 15 ft.
Food storage lockers are located throughout the campground.
No service sinks; visitors are to wash dishes at their campsites (heat your water) and empty the water in the toilets.
Emergency phone at Longs Peak Ranger Station (not at the campground).
The campground is located approximately nine miles south of the town of Estes Park off of Highway 7.
