Canyoneer Jackass Creek (Marble Canyon), Arizona

Jackass Canyon is a slot canyon in the northern part of the Grand Canyon in Marble Canyon. This 5.5 roundtrip mile hike is challenging with a lot of route finding through giant boulders and drop offs. Rapelling and Ascending Gear highly recommended. 2 permits are required if camping in the canyon. One Navajo due to parking a start the hike on Navajo land. One Grand Canyon permit since the end and camp in the Grand Canyon National Park. It's possible to go out and back in one day in which case you don’t need a GC permit, only Navajo. You can pick one up at Cameron on Highway 89 or call (928) 679-2303.
