One of Malaysia’s highest waterfalls are located in a remote district of Dungun, Terengganu, Malaysia.
The waterfalls are:
Chemerong Waterfall 1214 feet (370 meter): This waterfall takes a 1-2 hours of jungle hiking depending on experience. At the waterfall hikers can continue to follow trail to a nearby mountain, Mt. Berembun and Langsir and Berembu waterfalls.
Gunung Berembun 3405 feet (1038 meter): Lata Berembun is located deep within the isolated region of Gunung Benom, about 13 km from Kg Sg Klau. It is not too far from the borders of the Krau Wildlife Reserve. Hih clerence 4WD is required to get to the trailhead. The signpost in Kg Klau will direct you to the trailhead.
Lansir Waterfall 2628 feet (801 Meter):
Going to all three waterfalls typically requires overnight camping.
The best time to visit is during the dry season from March to October when rainfall is fairly low and the risk of massive flash floods are minimal.
