Climb Montagne de Bueren, Liège, Belgium
A long stone staircase (374 stairs) climbing the hill at the heart of the old town, with city views from the top. The staircase was built in 1881 and juts straight down between the city’s buildings as though a former road was simply covered in stairs.
In 2013, Montagne de Bueren was ranked as #1 on The Huffington Post's list of Most Extreme Staircases.
