Cross Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, Nevada & Arizona

Ever dream of crossing the largest concrete arch in the Western Hemisphere? Your dreams can come true! Just cross the Mike O-Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge—the second highest bridge in the United States (and highest concrete arch bridge in the world)! The Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge spans the Colorado River between Arizona and Nevada, and is located approximately 30 miles southeast of Las Vegas. The bridge is jointly named for Mike O’Callaghan, Governor of Nevada from 1971-1979, and Pat Tillman, an American football player who left his career with the Arizona Cardinals to enlist with the US Army. He was later killed in Afghanistan by friendly fire. The bridge was built as part of the Hoover Dam Bypass project, which rerouted US 93 from its previous Routing along the top of Hoover Dam, due to dangerous and inadequate conditions. Quick Facts: Completed in 2010 900 feet above the Colorado River Approximately 1500 feet downstream of Hoover Dam First concrete-steel composite arch bridge in the U.S.
