Babaomby Mer-d’Emeraude, Madagascar, an islet on the shores of the Emerald Sea presents some of the best conditions for Windsurfing and Kitesurfing in the world between April and November each year when the winds average 20 - 25 knots across its typically flat watered lagoon known locally as “the Swimming Pool”. Babaomby also presents a prolific offshore reef break with fun sized waves for jumping and riding. The peninsula that is Babaomby is located just offshore at the extreme north end of the island of Madagascar with access through the city of Diego Suarez (20 minutes by car, then a short boat ride). Diego Suarez maintains an airport providing connections through Antananarivo, Madagascar or St. Denis, La Réunion.
