The Neighborhood in East Village is on a mission to conquer the pervasive scene of bars with forgettable beer, bland dining and mediocre design. Neighborhood fights the good fight against the standard beer establishment by serving up quality craft beer, handcrafting gourmet locally-sourced fare, and incorporating thought-provoking, intelligent design throughout the atmosphere. Idiosyncrasies abound at every turn at this artisanal gastropub from the eclectic mix of crafty barstools and murals to the image of Jesus noshing down on grub on Neighborhood’s front door.
Not content to dish up traditional pub fare – or even ketchup for that matter – Neighborhood uses only the freshest locally-sourced ingredients for its artisanal small plates, gourmet burgers, and bistro-style salads. The gastropub’s draft and cask offerings include a lineup of 26 rotating craft brews ranging from hop-heavy West Coast styles to complex, fruity Belgian concoctions.
Neighborhood is open Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to midnight and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 to 2 a.m.
