Dine at Käfer Café at Bundestag, Berlin, Germany

The German Bundestag is the only parliament building in the world to house a public restaurant, for which we are restaurant directors. The roof garden restaurant is situated directly adjacent to the glass dome and offers breathtaking panoramic views over the city. Unlike most tourist site that have cafes that are a rip off, this resturant is worth the trip. The restaurant serves modern German cuisine accompanied by German wines. Another good reason to eat at the Dachgarten Restaurant when visiting Berlin is that a reservation lets you jump the queue of people lined up, often for hours, for a chance to visit the Reichstag dome. The Kaefer can get quite crowded so you should phone in advance to avoid any lines or be told about any private functions that close the place down. The Kaefer is open daily 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to midnight.
