New restaurant of Award-winning chef and cookbook author Marcus Samuelsson. Chef Marcus was the youngest chef to ever receive two three-star ratings from The New York Times. In 2010 Marcus was the winner of Top Chef Masters Season 2 and also served as the guest chef for the first State Dinner of the Obama administration. The menu reflects serves American cuisine utilizing local farmers and artisanal food makers. The Rooster has a take-out market, welcoming bar and restaurant. A resident of Harlem, Chef Samuelsson has long wanted to bring a restaurant to the neighborhood. Menu items feature Oyster Po'boy's, chicken & waffle, parmesan frites lots of fun drinks and classic soul type desserts.
