Dive or Snorkel
The Indians, British Virgin Islands (BVI)
View Original Description
The Indians are set of rocks in the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean. They are west of the small British Pelican Island and east of the small US Flanagan Island. These four cone-shaped towers are home to thousands of tiny tropical fish.
The Indians are the second most popular dive site in the British Virgin Islands after the wreck of the RMS Rhone. There is a small tunnel and a cave nestled among The Indians. Be wary of surface currents in this area.
The shallower side of the Indians are also a popular snorkelling site, as boats can anchor in the lee of Pelican Island. There are 4 day moorings on the west side of the rocks.
They were so named because from a distance they were though to resemble a Native American chief's head dress.
